Dave Chappelle was involved in a kerfuffle at a Texas Four Seasons hotel last month after a woman tried to approach him without wearing a mask.

The legendary comedian was in town for a couple of days to do multiple socially-distanced comedy shows.

According to the Daily Mail, Dave and his entourage were in a common area of the hotel when a woman decided she was going to go over and speak to him while her friends, who were there celebrating an engagement, record the interaction.

Rightfully so…Dave. Was. Not. Having. It.

Recently released video of the incident shows Dave visibly upset as he and his entourage confront the table of personal space violators.

The comedian says, “No disrespect. He’s recording me…and she’s violating my personal space.”

As he’s talking, the group begins to get aggressive and Dave’s people are ready for whatever.

Dave Chappelle attempts to keep the peace by telling the woman to “put her claws back in.” He then tells everyone, “We’re not doing nothing violent.”

Meanwhile, one of the guys at the table, a local actor named Chad LaBoy continued to record the incident via his cellphone.

The violators eventually left the hotel. It’s unclear if they were asked to leave or if they were skedaddling after causing a scene.

Chad LaBoy told Daily Mail Dave and his crew were the aggressors and came to their table twice after they disturbed his peace.

He also accused Dave of being a hypocrite for not wearing a mask himself after encouraging others to do so.

LaBoy claims he’s going to file a police report because someone in Chappelle’s entourage tried to snatch his phone.

Comedian D.L. Hughley shared video of the incident and captioned it:

PROTECT BROTHER #DAVECHAPPELLE AT ALL COSTS!!

THEY TRIED IT THOUGH. AS A #BLACKMAN YOU ARE BROUGHT INTO THIS WORLD WITH A TARGET ON YOUR BACK. AS A SUCCESSFUL BLACK MAN IN AMERICA, YOU BECOME A COMPLETE WALKING BREATHING TARGET ? #TeamDL #beingblackinamerica #mybrotherskeeper

You can’t disturb someone’s peace, invade their privacy and/or personal space and then get upset by how they react.

People are a trip.
