Dave Chappelle took to the streets of social media on Tuesday and dropped an 18-minute stand-up clip titled, “Unforgiven,” where he candidly asked his fans to boycott “The Chappelle Show,” until he is paid for his work.

Both Netflix and HBO Max began streaming the wildly popular sketch comedy series in this month.

You may recall during his “Saturday Night Live” monologue, Dave joked about how his grandfather, William David Chappelle, who was a former slave, would be judging him because of it.

Netflix started streaming a show that bears his name – ‘Chappelle Show‘ and HBO Max is streaming it. And I didn’t get paid for any of it. Yeah, if he could see me now he’d probably be like, ‘This n***a got bought and sold more than I have.’

In the clip posted on Instagram, Dave revealed he called Netflix and told them how he feels about them streaming “The Chappelle Show” and him not being paid for his work.

Netflix, in turn, removed the show from their library. A solid move by the network.

At one point, Dave Chappelle literally begged his fans to boycott the show:

I’m begging you…if you’ve ever liked me…if you’ve ever think there was anything worthwhile about me…I’m begging you. Please, don’t watch that show! I’m not asking you to boycott any network. Boycott me! Boycott ‘Chappelle Show.’ Do not watch it unless they pay me.

I won’t be watching until they cut a check!
