Cyntoia Brown Married Christian Hip Hop Artist J. Long While Incarcerated
Cyntoia Brown married Christian Hip Hop artist, J. Long. Get the full scoop.
Not only is Cyntoia Brown a free woman after serving 15 years in prison for killing a man who purchased her for sex – she’s also a married woman!
Cyntoia Brown’s husband is Jaime Long, an R&B singer and Christian Hip Hop artist known as J. Long.
The publisher for Cyntoia’s forthcoming memoir, “Free Cyntoia: My Search for Redemption in the American Prison System,” confirmed the nuptials, but didn’t provide any further details on how they met or when the marriage took place. I guess we’ll get all of that in the book.
Jaime, who is a La Marque, Texas native, is the grandson of Curtis Long, a famous guitarist who played with the likes of B.B. King and Bobby Blue Bland.
J. Long is best known for joining Pretty Ricky in 2010 when Pleasure P left. They had a quick run and a couple of tours together.
But, he left the group, two years later, to reconnect with God.
I took time out to reconnect with God. I felt that I had drifted away and needed to find my way back.
I had just left Pretty Ricky and had so many personal things going on in my life that I felt I needed to work on me. I had to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. I needed to rebuild myself from the bottom up.
This is not the first marriage for J. Long. He was previously married to Pamela Long of the trio, Total.
Since his marriage to Cyntoia was revealed, Jaime Long locked down his Twitter account.
I’m looking forward to reading Cyntoia Brown-Long’s book when it’s released on October 15 and watching her forthcoming documentary on Netflix.
I wish her much love and happiness.
