Shaquille O’Neal is mourning the death of his sister, Ayesha Harrison-Jex, who passed away on Thursday after battling cancer.
Ayesha was 40.
Shaq, who didn’t know his biological father, was raised by Ayesha’s dad, Phillip A. Harrison.
During Thursday night’s edition of “Inside the NBA,” Ernie Johnson spoke about Shaq saying:
When he struggles, we struggle with him because he’s one of our brothers.
He said his world revolves around his brother and two sisters, and he lost one of his sisters this morning, far too early.
