Cedric The Entertainer is grieving the loss of his mother, Rosetta Boyce Kyles, who passed away on Sunday (June 1) after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Ms. Rosetta died at St. Mary’s Health Center, where she has a pavilion named after her.
In 2009, Cedric’s mother was treated at St. Mary’s after she received her cancer diagnosis. The hospital later approached the actor and comedian with the idea of building a pavilion and naming it after his mother.
Cedric was elated with the idea saying, “My name and my mother’s association came up, they approached me and my sister, and we talked to Mom. She fell in love with it.” He continued “That got the ball rolling, and it’s been a great ride coming to this day. This women’s health pavilion is so all women can have the same care and medical experiences.”
We’d like to extended our prayers and deepest condolences to Cedric The Entertainer and his family during this difficult time.
