Columbus Short Fails Drug Test While On Probation

Columbus Short is facing a probation violation in a felony assault case after he tested positive for cocaine and marijuana.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Leslie E. Brown has ordered the actor to appear at a hearing on May 9 to answer to the failed drug test.

Last September, Short was sentences to three years of supervised probation, two months of community labor and anger management counseling after pleading no contest to felony assault for knocking Fenton Hyche III out cold and fracturing his eye socket in a 2014 bar fight. Columbus Short paid Hyche $14,000 in restitution, lost wages, and medical bills.

Columbus hasn’t completed his community service. But, he did complete his court ordered anger management classes. That would explain why he was able to keep his cool when Karrine Steffans threw his clothes out and videotaped him for social media.

Hopefully, Columbus Short will get his life together. He’s too talented for this foolishness.
