Just when you think you’ve heard it all…Cocaine charges against Georgia Southern University quarterback Shai Werts were dropped after lab test confirmed it was actually bird poop.
On July 31, Shai was pulled over by police for speeding (80 mph). That’s when the officer insisted the white substance on the hood of his car was cocaine and charged him with speeding and cocaine possession.
The arrest resulted in Shai Werts being suspended from his team and having his reputation tarnished.
Saluda County, South Carolina prosecutors blamed a faulty roadside drug test for the mixup and not the idiotic officer who thought cocaine would miraculously stay on the hood of a car at 80 mph.
Everybody who had a hand in this tomfoolery owes Shai an apology.
