Chrisette Michele‘s fiance, Doug Ellison, took to social media on Saturday to get a few things off his his chest.
He began by sending Spike Lee a quick open letter that consisted of two words, “F**k you!”
In case you missed it, Spike announced he was no longer using Chrisette’s music in his “She’s Gotta Have It” remake on Netflix after learning she was performing at Donald Trump‘s inauguration.
Peep Chrisette and Doug’s (now deleted) response below:
When someone asked Doug if the Trump supporters Chrisette performed for at the inauguration will support her music going forward, he replied saying, “The support from the other side has been real. And that is the hardest pill to swallow.”

Doug and Chrisette have been through the good, the bad, and the ugly together.
Some of you may remember when Doug filed a $20 million defamation suit against Chrisette in 2008.
The backlash surrounding Chrisette Michele’s performance is probably a walk in the park for the couple.
