Kevin Boseman, the older brother of Chadwick Boseman, recently revealed he is celebrating two years of being in remission from cancer.

On October 14, the 48-year-old New York-based dancer and choreographer took to his Instagram stories and shared:

Today marks my official two-year remission anniversary. October 14, 2020.

I was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and underwent four rounds of chemotherapy. I’m in remission!!!!! You read right. I am in remission.

Kevin Boseman went on to say:

I wanted to share because while it’s been a year of profound loss and tragedy for so many of us, this is good news. Something to smile about. Something to shout about.

I hope you’re smiling and shouting with me. Cancer is something most of us have no control over.

We can only control our responses to it, which includes being proactive about our healthcare both physically and mental.

Tomorrow is not promised and early detection saves lives. Health is wealth. True wealth.

At one point, Chadwick Boseman, who was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in 2016, was battling cancer at the same time as his older brother.

Sadly, Chadwick passed away on August 28, 2020.

My continued prayers to Kevin and the Boseman family.
