The CDC is actively investigating a possible link between a heart condition and the vaccine in teens and young adults.

The heart condition is known as Myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle.

Myocarditis is a disease marked by the inflammation of the heart muscle known as the myocardium — the muscular layer of the heart wall. This muscle is responsible for contracting and relaxing to pump blood in and out of the heart and to the rest of the body.

The CDC has discovered 14 cases so far, most cases have been mild and have occurred four days after the second dose of the vaccine.

The cases so far have been more common in males than in females.

The CDC doesn’t want people to worry because the myocarditis cases are currently within the normal parameters of a given year.

With the Coronavirus being so new, I’ve often wondered if the CDC took into account long-term side effects from the vaccine.
