That was quick!

The Buffalo Bills have claimed IK Enemkpali one day after he was immediately released by the New York Jets for breaking Geno Smith‘s jaw in a locker room scuffle.

According to reports, the fight was over a $600 debt. Smith accepted a $600 plane ticket to appear at IK’s football camp in Pflugerville, Texas, on July 11. Geno missed the event after a close friend of his was killed in a motorcycle accident.

Smith promised to refund the money for the ticket, but was dragging his feet. On Tuesday, IK Enemkpali showed up to come on his BBHMM flow and the result was Geno’s broken jaw.

IK released a statement apologizing for his actions.

I apologize to the Jets organization, coaches, teammates and fans. Geno and I let our frustration get the best of us, but I should have just walked away from the situation. I deeply regret and apologize for my actions. It was never my intention to harm anyone. I appreciate the opportunity I had with the Jets.

Best of luck to IK in Buffalo. I know they better have his money when he wants it!
