Marvel’s Black Panther has officially crossed the $1 BILLION mark at the global box office!
The Ryan Coogler-directed film starring Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o, Michael B. Jordan, Danai Gurira and a host of magical black actors is officially in the Billion Dollar Club alongside The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3 and Captain America: Civil War.
‘A Wrinkle In Time’
Meanwhile…back at the ranch – Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time opened strong with $10 million on Friday.
The Ava DuVernay-directed big budget film is expected to secure the no. 2 spot this weekend with an estimated $32-35 million.
But, just like Black Panther – we’ve learned not to place limits on black excellence.
