Tidal released the 15-track mixtape exclusively to it’s subscribers on the 4th of July. It’s a move Birdman called a “desperate and illegal attempt to save their struggling streaming service.”
Weezy’s estranged “daddy” also claims the mixed reviews of the mixtape will also negatively impact their efforts to sell Lil Wayne albums in the future.
Tidal clapped back saying Lil Wayne’s contract with Cash Money is non-exclusive and they had every right to stream his mixtape in exchange for giving him stake in the streaming service.
Who would have ever thought Lil Wayne would go from stuntin like his daddy to fighting for his freedom?
