Big Freedia Avoids Jail Time In Federal Theft Case
Big Freedia won’t be bouncing in the big house!
The Queen of Bounce was sentenced to three years probation and was slapped with a hefty $35,000 fine in her federal theft case on Thursday (August 25).
In March, Freedia (born Freddie Ross) was charged with felony theft of government funds after she lied about her income in order to receive section 8 vouchers.
During her court appearance, Big Freedia assumed full responsibility for her actions when she told the judge, “I am at fault for my criminal conduct.”
Judge Lance Africk told Freedia, ‘Please do not mistake kindness for weakness” and warned her not to come back with a positive drug test.
I’m sure she is happy all of this is behind her.
