Beyoncé took a moment to pay tribute to Aretha Franklin on Monday night when her On The Run II Tour with JAY-Z made its way to Ford Field in Detroit.

DJ Khaled kicked off the tribute by playing “Respect,” one of the Queen of Soul’s most iconic records, as the sea of concertgoers wholeheartedly sang along.

Beyoncé opened their set by dedicating the show to Aretha saying:

This show is dedicated to Aretha Franklin.

We love you and thank you for the beautiful music.

According to multiple reports, the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin is gravely ill and is surrounded by her loved ones.
