The wait is almost over! “Being Mary Jane” season 2 is set to return to BET on February 3 with a few new faces and the same old dramaticals.
As you may have heard…Omari Hardwick has departed the show to focus on his lead role in “Power,” so we won’t be treated to anymore sexy love scenes between Andre and Mary Jane. *sighs loudly*
But, don’t fret! The scoop on the street is former “CSI” star Gary Dourdan will join the cast opposite of Gabrielle Union in a reoccurring role as “Sheldon Armstrong,”
According to Deadline.com, Sheldon “is a smoothly charming and casually handsome retired civil trial attorney who made a fortune suing corrupt corporations. He’s coming out of retirement to pursue his charitable outreach. He’s famous for never having given an interview in his life — but when Mary Jane sets out to interview him, he is quite taken with her and just might change his mind.”
Oh, this could be very interesting. (Birdman handrub)
Watch a sneak peek of the first scene of “Being Mary Jane” season 2, where Mary and her friends are engaged in a spirited convo about being black in America.
