Idris Elba “too street” to play James Bond? Lies!

Anthony Horowitz, writer of the new James Bond novel “Trigger Mortis,” caused a firestorm of controversy when he told the Daily Mail that he believes Idris Elba is “probably a bit too ‘street’ for Bond. Is it a question of being suave? Yeah.”

There is nothing “street” about Idris and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out Horowitz was basically saying the Golden Globe winning actor is too black for the role.

When Anthony was called on the carpet for his remarks, he quickly issued an apology for his “poor choice of word” and said he was “mortified to have caused offence.”
