An Atlanta woman survived a 30-foot fall from an overpass on Interstate 85 after being hit by a street racer.

On October 4, Leslie Reese, a recent college graduate from Clayton University, was on her way to work when her car broke down on I-85.

She pulled to the side of the road, got out of her car, and called her roommate for help.

While still on the phone with her roommate, Horace Dillard Jr. was weaving in and out of traffic while drag racing in his new Camaro.

Horace hit a car that hit Leslie’s car and threw her more than 30 feet over the overpass, and her body slammed to the ground below in the grass.

Leslie’s roommate was still on the phone when she got hit.

She heard Leslie screaming and she heard her body hit the ground.

Horace has been charged with reckless driving, too fast for conditions, failure to maintain lane, and several other traffic charges.

Leslie suffered multiple injures.

Her dad, Irving Reese, told the news that she broke her pelvis, her femur, her tibia, and they had to sew her lip back together.

He said their faith is what’s keeping them strong.

Doctors say Leslie is lucky to be alive and it will be months before she is able to walk again.

Irving Reese is angry with the driver that caused the accident and nearly took his daughter’s life, but he said he will pray for him.

I’m angry with him, but I’m going to pray for him.

And, I hope that anybody that’s watching this, that’s out there doing this… this drag racing and everything, that they understand that you can take somebodies life, it’s not a game!

The Reese family has set up a GoFundMe to help with Leslie’s medical expenses, with a goal of $25,000. It is currently at $8505.

We pray for physical, mental, and emotional healing for Leslie Reese and her family.
