Atlanta Spa Shooter Robert Long pleaded guilty to 23 counts, including four counts of malice murder and four counts of felony murder, today (July 27) in Cherokee County.

He was sentenced to life in prison.

The 22-year-old man killed eight people during a shooting rampage on March 16 where he targeting Atlanta-area spas.

Xiaojie “Emily” Tan, 49; Daoyou Feng, 44; Delaina Yaun, 33; and Paul Michels, 54, were the victims of the massacre at Young’s Asian Massage near the Atlanta suburb of Woodstock in Cherokee County.

Long was reportedly kicked out of his parents house a week before the shooting because they gave him the ultimatum of going back into treatment for his sex addiction or leaving the house.

He left the house.

In the courtroom today, the judge asked Long why he was so tormented by these spas, and he said he doesn’t have control over his sexual urges and they became obsessive.

The Cherokee County DA wanted the death penalty in this case, but the family members of the victims opted for the guilty plea so the case could be resolved quickly.

Long still faces the death penalty in Fulton County for his second spa shooting.
