Ashanti has Covid-19.
The R&B singer was forced to postpone her Verzuz battle against Keyshia Cole in the 9th hour on Saturday evening…almost an hour before the show was scheduled to begin.
In a post on her Instagram page, Ashanti wrote:
Hey yâall I canât believe Iâm saying this but I tested positive for COVID-19. Iâm okay and not in any pain. Iâm actually down to do the versus from my houseâŚweâre trying to figure it all out!!!

Verzuz passed on the offer and released the following statement:
Unfortunately, we have to postpone tonightâs @Ashanti vs @KeyshiaCole #VERZUZ. Ashanti tested positive for COVID-19 beforehand, and we cannot put anyone at risk in the process. First time this has struck us so close to showtime. We apologize to our incredible audience!
