A member of Aretha Franklin‘s family reluctantly took to social media to express her disappointment in how the Queen of Soul’s funeral was handled as well as the leaked casket photo that was circulating on the internet.
In a post on her Facebook page, Kafi Franklin, said she couldn’t believe how “selfish and insensitive” people are.
Kafi said her 12-year-old daughter was brought to tears when she saw the leaked casket photo of her grandmother floating around the internet.
She went on call out folks who attended Aretha’s funeral and “selfishly used this situation to benefit themselves or to entertain or achieve personal agenda with no regards to the family.”
Kafi Franklin also noted how some people “treated the funeral like a concert or event.”
She wants those people to know “you made a child /family suffer even more than they were… you made a difficult day even more so for us all.”
