More devastating news coming out of Florida…

Deputies are searching for a two-year-old child who was dragged into the water near Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Tuesday night.

Via the Orlando Sentinel:

Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said rescue personnel had been actively searching for the child in the Seven Seas Lagoon but had not found him. The search was being called a recovery effort.

Demings said the family was vacationing from Nebraska with three children. At the time of the attack, they were relaxing on the shoreline when the alligator attacked him. Demings said the father entered the water and tried to grab the child from the gator, but was not successful. He had scratches on his arms after the ordeal.

Parents then alerted a nearby lifeguard that an alligator had attacked the boy.

Please send up a prayer for this baby and the family.

I can’t imagine what they are going through right now.
