Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs Releases A Statement Addressing Lack Of Diversity
This year, all 25 of the Oscar nominees are white. While it’s not surprising it’s still disappointing.
Many took their frustrations to the streets of social media with the hashtag #OscarsSoWhite while Spike Lee and Jada Pinkett Smith have called for a boycott.
President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Cheryl Boone Isaacs has released a statement saying she is “heartbroken and frustrated about the lack of inclusion.”
