According to New York Daily News, Antonio Rodriguez Hernandez Santiago was sentenced to 25 years to life. Jose Muniz, who hacked the helpless youth with a machete, and Elvin Garcia both received the same sentence. Manuel Rivera, 18, received a lesser sentence because of his age.

Jonaiki Martinez Estrella, who was caught on surveillance video stabbing Junior in the neck, was sentenced to life without parole.

In her victim impact statement, Junior’s mother, Leandra Feliz, said:

These killers should never be able to step out of their jail cells.

I no longer have my kid. I don’t have someone to hug and kiss. My son should be in his junior year of high school, pursuing his dreams of being a police officer.

Junior’s father, Lesandro Guzman, also spoke out about the pain he’s living with after the death of his son.

You will never have the ability to understand the pain you’ve caused when you decided to take the life of an innocent kid.

I will never forgive you for deciding to murder my son. You deserve to be punished for causing so much pain.

Sending love and prayers to Lesandro ‘Junior’ Guzman-Feliz’s family.
