Initial reports claimed the fatality may have been the shooter, but police have identified the victim as Mohamad Jradi.

He was sitting in his car at a Sunny Isles Beach shopping plaza after finishing his shift at Hertz Rental Car. Mohamad was getting ready to head home to celebrate Mother’s Day.

A five-year-old boy from Texas, who was vacationing in Miami with his family, was grazed by a stray bullet and treated at the scene.

Police also confirmed a 19-year-old woman was hit when shots rang out. They did not release her identity, but she is believed to be NBA Youngboy’s girlfriend, Kay Marie.

Miami Dade police spokesman Alvaro Zabaleta said several people have been detained, but their names have not been released.
