“24: Legacy” Casts Anna Diop

The cast of Fox’s “24” reboot, “24: Legacy,” is rounding out as “Messengers” alum Anna Diop joins the cast in a co-starring role opposite Corey Hawkins.

Here’s the scoop via Deadline:

Written by 24 veterans Manny Coto and Evan Katz and directed by Stephen Hopkins (who helmed the original 24 pilot), 24: Legacy chronicles military hero Eric Carter’s (Hawkins) return to the U.S. and the trouble that follows him back – compelling him to ask CTU for help in saving his life, and stopping what potentially could be one of the largest-scale terror attacks on American soil.

Diop will play Nicole, Carter’s wife. It is expected to be a significant role, just as the wife of Jack Bauer was on the original series.

Diop, who was a series regular on the CW’s The Messengers, recently recurred on ABC’s Quantico and will next be seen recurring on OWN’s Greenleaf. She’s repped by Abrams Artists Agency.

As a huge “24” fan, I’m pretty excited to see what they’re going to do with this reboot.
