Heartbreaking news coming out of Arkansas…
Two small toddlers, who were in a car crash that killed their 25-year-old mother, Lisa Holliman, survived in a ravine for days before being rescued.
3-year-old Kylen is being hailed as a hero after he managed to get out of his car seat, climb through the sunroof of the car and then made his way up a small hill filled with bushes to find help.
Early Monday morning around 7:50 a.m. police received a call about an unattached toddler walking down the road with scratches and cuts.
They initially posted Kylen’s photo on social media asking for the public’s help in finding his parents. The police soon learned his mother had been missing for days.
On Tuesday, authorities went back to where Kylen was found and discovered his mother’s vehicle sideways “in a deep ravine not visible from the roadway.”
That’s where they found Lisa’s one-year-old son still strapped into his safety seat.
Lisa’s body was found outside of the car. Authorities believe she was ejected from the vehicle in the crash. She was pregnant with her third child.
Detective Lt. Nathan Greeley of the Ouachita County Sheriff’s Department in Arkansas said in a statement:
If it had not been for the 3-year-old child being able to escape the car wreckage and finding his way back to the roadway, it could have easily been three deaths.
Thank God the children survived and were found.
My sincerest condolences to Lisa’s family.
