2 Georgia Men Abduct, Rape, & Ransom A Woman For Atlanta Falcon Tickets

Just when you thought you have heard it all…

Two Georgia men have been jailed in Dekalb County and are facing multiple charges after they kidnapped, raped, and ransomed a woman for Atlanta Falcons tickets.

Via AJC:

Jaylan Martez Wallace, 23, met the victim in a parking lot of Clark Atlanta University before leaving campus and connecting again at a residence in the Lithonia area, the documents say. Wallace, a Lithonia resident, wasn’t a student; the victim is a former student, the university confirmed to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The AJC does not identify victims of sexual assault.

Once in the Lithonia area, Wallace kidnapped and carjacked the victim at gunpoint and raped her, also forcing her to have sex with 17-year-old Lithonia resident Xavious Vaughn, according to authorities. Vaughn also didn’t attend the school.

The woman was kept overnight and taken to a library where Falcons tickets were exchanged “for her freedom,” the documents say. The warrants don’t reveal who delivered the tickets.

The ordeal is believed to have started around 1 p.m. on Aug. 29. Wallace and Vaughn, who were described in a police report as unknown to the victim, weren’t arrested until this week.

It’s not clear how the suspects were identified or how their arrests came about. Wallace’s warrants say police contacted him in September and he promised to come in for an interview. After seven days, he was a still a no-show.

A DeKalb police spokeswoman said she couldn’t provide any further information on the case.

Wallace and Vaughn – who face charges of rape, armed robbery and kidnapping – remained in jail without bond Thursday.

Praying for the victim.
