Remy Ma Discusses ‘ShETHER’ On ‘Wendy’
Fat Joe and Remy Ma stopped by the “Wendy Show” on Friday to perform a track from their Grammy-nominated album, Plato O Ploma.
It didn’t take long for Wendy to ask Remy about “ShETHER,” her epic diss track aimed at Nicki Minaj.
Contrary to popular belief, Remy Ma said the record was fueled more by what Nicki does behind the scenes rather than the shots she fires on wax.
It wasn’t that she was targeted. She started it.
She’s been doing this to a lot of females from Lil Kim to Mariah to Taylor to Hannah and no one says anything.
It wasn’t necessarily the little subliminal stuff on records because I didn’t care. I don’t care records and I’ve spoken to her before and told her, ‘Whatever you say…you’re supposed to say you’re the best and you’re better than me.’
It was the behind-the-scenes things that you people never know about as far as trying to keep me off of red carpets and trying to make sure awards don’t go to me or she’s not going to be in attendance or try to get people to make bad reports about my album sales or anything that I’m doing to make me look less and make her look better.
I have a problem when you’re trying to stop my bag, when you’re trying to stop me from taking care of my children…now I have a problem with that.
Halfway through the interview, Wendy Williams realized Remy Ma was dressed (beautifully) for a funeral.
Remy responded, “My grandmother told me to never speak ill of the dead.”
