Spice has dropped the official music video for her new single, “Black Hypocrisy,” where she addresses colorism head on.
The Dancehall artist sent social media into a frenzy when she dropped a photo of herself completely white-washed leaving many people wondering if she bleached her skin a la Vybz Kartel.
Spice actually used the shocking new look to send a powerful message in her new video for “Black Hypocrisy.”
In the song, Spice sings:
I was told I would reach farther
If the color of my skin was lighter
And I was made to feel inferior
Society says brown girls are prettier
