Virginia Elects Danica Roem As The First Trans Person To Serve In A State Legislature
Danica Roem Makes History
Danica Roem made history on Tuesday by becoming the first trangender lawmaker in the United States.
The 26-year-old defeated anti-LGBT and anti-abortion Republican candidate, Bob Marshall, in Virginia’s 13 District by 7 points. Bloop!
Congrats to Danica Roem – the first elected transgender state legislator in America. She beat back an ugly, hateful campaign. A bright spot in these rough times! https://t.co/7bILN1sKpm
