VIDEO: Bishop T.D. Jakes Blasts ‘Preachers Of LA’ Calling The Show ‘Junk!’
Looks like I’m not the only one who isn’t here for Oxygen’s latest reality TV series, “Preachers of LA.”
Last Sunday while preparing for the offering, Bishop T.D. Jakes blasted the new reality show which showcases the churches, drama, and lavish lifestyles of Bishop Noel Jones, Deitrick Haddon, Bishop Clarence McClendon, Pastor Wayne Chaney, Bishop Ron Gibson, and Pastor Jay Haizlip.
Bishop T.D. Jakes wanted to make it very clear to his congregation that the seeds (money) he strongly urged them to sow was not sponsoring his lifestyle nor padding is bank account.
Now, I know you been watching that junk on TV. I want to tell you right now, not one dime of what you’re sowing right now will buy my suit. I want you to know my car is paid for. I want you to know I got my house on my own. I want you to know I’m not bling-blinging. I am not shake and bake. I had money when I came to Dallas and I plan to have some when I leave.
You did not buy what I got. I had it when I came here. You know I had it when I came here. The devil is a lie! I have sold enough books and produced enough movies. I don’t need your offering to pay for this little slimy suit. So I rebuke that spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.
Watch Bishop Jakes go in below.
I can totally see how viewers of the show could give the wrong impression about the church after seeing men of God stunting and balling in the name of Jesus. I couldn’t sit through an entire episode.
Do you agree with Bishop Jakes blasting the show or do you think it’s a tad hypocritical considering the fact that he went in while asking the congregation to donate money?
