TV SCOOP: Gaius Charles On Why Viewers Should Watch NBC’s ‘Taken’ (Video)
Gaius Charles Talks ‘Taken’
In case you haven’t heard, NBC’s new action-drama “Taken” is the move on Monday nights!
“Taken” is a modern-day, edge-of-your-seat thriller which follows the origin story of younger, hungrier, former Green Beret Bryan Mills (Clive Standen, “Vikings“) as he deals with the murder of his baby sister.
As he struggles to deal with his tragic loss and plots his revenge, Mills is pulled into ODNI as a deadly CIA operative, where he utilized his unique and dangerous skill set.
Gaius Charles (“Friday Night Lights,” “Grey’s Anatomy“) stars as John, a reformed gang member who is now part of the special opps team. He’s a natural-born leader, methodical, and ferociously loyal.
Thanks to NBC, Ice Cream Convos will join Gaius on a weekly call where he will recap each week’s episode and give us the scoop on what’s the come.
This week, I asked Gaius why should viewers tune in to “Taken,” outside of the fact that the show is ah-freaking-mazing.
Universally, I think people are drawn in to characters and relationships…really interesting nuance characters and compelling relationships. Beyond the action and suspense
Beyond the action and suspense, which is obviously the big draw, I think that’s what our show brings to the table as well.
You think it’s just a thriller, but actually it’s deeper than that. It has these really complex relationships that you get drawn into and you start to fall in love with these characters and become a part of their world.
Check out a sneak peek of “Taken” episode 3 titled, “Off Sides” below.
“Taken” airs Monday nights at 10pm on NBC.
