San Bernardino Elementary School Shooting
4 people including 2 students and a gunman were injured during a shooting an a San Bernardino elementary school on Monday (April 10).
San Bernardino Police Chief Jarrod Burguan said the shooting took place inside a classroom at the North Park Elementary school and is believed to be an apparent murder-suicide.
Four people, including two students and one teacher, were injured at the campus, according to Maria Garcia of the San Bernardino PD. The gunman was reported to be “down,” and the threat has been contained, Garcia added.
The two students have been rushed to the hospital.
Hillside Elementary School and Cajon High School were on a precautionary lockdown as emergency crews responded to aid the victims.
Students at North Park Elementary were being escorted to Cajon High School for safety and pick-up from parents.
The story is developing and I will update the post as more information becomes available.
Burguan said two adults were killed, and two students were hospitalized in critical condition. A female teacher was shot and killed by the suspect, who was visiting her at the time. The gunman then turned the gun on himself.
Police said the children shot were not targeted and likely struck by accident.
In the meantime…please pray.
