R. Kelly Sued For Alleged Affair
A Hinds County deputy had filed a lawsuit against R. Kelly for having an alleged affair with his wife.
Kenny Bryant filed the lawsuit in the Circuit Court of Hinds County, Mississippi on April 21 accusing the singer of tortious interference of marriage and reckless infliction of emotional distress.
According to court docs, Kenny’s wife, Asia Childress, was romantically involved with Kells before they tied the knot in July 2012. The suit claims Asia rekindled that relationship with the singer after attending his concert in October 2012.
In the suit, Kenny Bryant alleges his wife contracted and was treated for chlamydia around the same time.
Sometime after sparking up her alleged affair with R. Kelly, Kenny says his wife convinced him to pack up and move to Atlanta to further her career only to find out it was a move make it easier to continue her affair.
Asia would travel to nearby cities to attend his concerts and constantly texted the singer expressing her love for him. Some text messages are included in the lawsuit.
Kenny Bryant says “due to R. Kelly’s actions, Plaintiff’s wife has requested a divorce.” He also stated he “has suffered emotional, psychological and financial loss” due to the actions of R. Kelly.
He’s seeking compensatory damages as well as punitive damages.

On April 24, Kenny Bryant filed a summons requiring R. Kelly to respond to the complaint.
