Juelz Santana Trial Pushed Back As He Continues To Negotiate A Plea Deal
Juelz Santana’s trial date for having a loaded gun in the airport has been pushed back until the end of September to give him more time to negotiate his plea deal.
Juelz Santana‘s trial date has been pushed back from early September until the end of September “to permit defense counsel the reasonable time necessary for effective preparation in this matter and to allow the parties to enter into plea negotiations.”
The rapper, born LaRon James, was arrested in March after he tried to go through the Newark Liberty International Airport security with a loaded handgun and unprescribed oxycodone pills in his carry-on bag.
He ran out of the airport before being detained and turned himself in three days later.
Juelz pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a weapon on an aircraft.
Hopefully, he learned his lesson and he’s able to work something out to avoid jail time for his careless actions.
