Demetria McKinney’s 2nd Annual ‘Because Of You’ Brunch

“Sisterhood is a beautiful thing. We can uplift each other without diminishing our own light.”

On Sunday (May 7), Demetria McKinney hosted her 2nd annual “Because of You” Pre-Mother’s Day Brunch at the Suite Lounge in Atlanta.

The event, powered by Jasmine Crowe of Black Celebrity Giving and Pynk Magazine, honored 55 mothers who were selected from almost 100 nominations.

Dedra Allen (“Cutting It In The ATL“), Carla Stephens (“Mother Funders“), Reece Odum (“Saints and Sinners“), Monica Elam (“Soul Elixir” Radio Show), and Rachael Johnson (“My Current Situation“) came out to join Demetria in celebrating the beautiful mothers.

The honorees dined on a delicious brunch menu and sipped on a variety of Sweet B*tch wines.

As the brunch portion wrapped, three mothers were selected to receive a monetary gift during an emotional and truly beautiful presentation from Jasmine Crowe.

Then, the honorees headed to the main floor of Suite Lounge where they received manicures, makeovers, foot massages, got their hair done and shopped with various vendors.

See video below.

The “Because of You” brunch was sponsored by Indique Virgin Hair Extensions, Z Mars Designs, Luxurious Credit, Dark & Lovely, MAGIC 107.5, Sweet B*tches Wines, Creative Artist Unite, Elle Hair Co., Celfie Cosmetics, and PNB Shades.

It was a pleasure to attend such an amazing event.

Special thanks to The Luxe Pr Group for the invite.
