‘Black Lightning’ Renewed For Season 3 At The CW
Despite the shocking allegations surrounding Salim Akil, The CW has renewed ‘Black Lightning’ for a third season.
The CW has renewed “Black Lightning” for a third season!
The superhero series stars Cress Williams, Nafessa Williams, China Anne McClain, Krondon, Christine Adams, James Remar and Damon Gupton.
The news of the renewal is good to hear considering the scandal surrounding the co-creator of the show Salim Akil.
CW president Mark Pedowitz says she stands with Akil despite the shocking accusations.
When litigation came to us, Warner [Bros] did the appropriate thing and did an investigation on the set… and there is no world where that is not a safe place, there were no wrongdoings found.
He had a personal issue that is nothing to do with the show. The show, as far as we’re concerned, is that Salim, the other producers, the cast and the crew, they deserve to work.
Welp…there you have it! Congrats to the cast and crew of “Black Lightning.”
