Baltimore Police Officer Suspended WITH PAY After Viral Video Shows Him Brutally Assaulting A Man

Baltimore Police Officer Arthur Williams has been suspended with pay after a viral video shows him repeatedly punching a man in the face.

The victim, 26-year-old Dashawn McGrier, has had a previous run-in with Williams according to his attorney, Warren Brown.

In June, Dashawn was charged with assaulting the officer, disorderly conduct, obstructing and hindering, and resisting arrest.

Apparently, the disgusting attack we saw in the viral video was Officer Williams retaliating against Dashawn.

“It seems like this officer had just decided that Dashawn was going to be his punching bag,” Brown said. “And this was a brutal attack that was degrading and demeaning to my client, to that community, and to the police department.”

Interim Police Commissioner Gary Tuggle said he was “deeply disturbed” by the video, and that the incident is under investigation.

“The officer involved has been suspended while we investigate the totality of this incident,” Tuggle said. “Part of our investigation will be reviewing body worn camera footage.”

Dashawn McGrier was not charged after the violent confrontation with the officer.

He was taken to the hospital late Saturday to be X-rays taken of his jaw, nose and ribs for suspected fractures.
