Actress Imani Hakim To Star In Netflix’s ‘Burning Sands’

Imani Hakim is set to star in Netflix’s forthcoming drama, “Burning Sands.”
The 23-year-old actress, best known for her role as Tonya in “Everybody Hates Chris,” will play Rochon, the love interest to Zurich (Trevor Jackson).
The film is centered around a particularly brutal hazing process at an all-black university. A favored pledgee is torn between honoring his code of silence or standing up against the intensifying violence of underground hazing.
“Burning Sands” features a cast of incredible talent including Alfre Woodard (“Luke Cage”), Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight), Rotimi (“Power”), Serayah (“Empire”), and more.
Common serves as executive producer on the film, which is slated to premiere on Netflix on March 10.
